Day 31 Reviewed

**A quick disclaimer about this blog...
If you happen to stumble across this blog at this point in time, there are a few things I want you to know. Right now, I'm reviewing my 30 days of reading. Most posts are jumbled to say the least. They are mostly quick thoughts, unedited, of what stood out to me in each day's passage. Also, keep in mind, my thoughts usually have something to do with being "at ease," or being "at peace," because that's the theme I looked for specifically as I read this time! **

Hebrews 11 - Revelation 22

Last day of reviewing this 30 days!! Let's dive right in...
  • Faith
"Without faith is it impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him," (Hebrews 11:6). With a little faith and also trying to be really good and keep him commands? NO!!! Without faith = impossible!!

Hmmmm....at the same time, no jot or tittle discontinued? "But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty (oh wait), and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does," (James 1:25).

I've tended to hear myself say a lot lately, I do not like organized religion! James says, "If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is worthless. This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world," (James 1:26-27).

"JUDGMENT will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy, mercy triumphs over judgment," (James 2:13).

"Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself...You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected...You see that a man is justified by works, and not faith alone," (James 2:17, 22, 24).
  • Stay Away
"For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. AND the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in PEACE by those who make PEACE," (James 3:17-18). Make peace, God's way!!

And be careful..." You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; ; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter," (James 5:5). Yucko.
"Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, of the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not complain, brethren, against one another, that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door," (James 5:7-9).
  • 1 Peter
     Submission. (To the Lord!!)
"...to every human institution," (1 Peter 2:13)
     "...wives...to your own husbands," 3:1)
"...let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit," (3:4)
"...sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence," (3:15)
  •  2 Peter
Something that sets me at ease is knowing that I don't need to look outside of God and His true Word for everything I need!!! "seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence," (2 Peter 1:3).
  • 1 John
"By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God," (1 John 4:2).

"There is no FEAR IN LOVE,"!!! (4:18).
  • 2 John
"Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God," (2 John 11).
  • Revelation
"BLESSED is he who reads and those who HEAR the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near," (Revelation 1:3). I told my dad these words and asked him if he wanted me to read the book out loud to him, and he agreed! It took maybe an hour or hour and a half, but I read the WHOLE thing, every word, out loud to him. I read, he heard = we are both blessed :) The baby heard too :)

"And they overcame him became him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death," (12:11).

The time will come...woah, "And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Put in your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe," (14:15).

"Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour, she has been laid waste! Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her...And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth," (18:19-20, 24).

"Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready," (19:7).

"I saw thrones, and the sat upon them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years," (20:4...) Ok, I got carried away. I could really type this whole thing out. So interesting.
"And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, ARE ITS TEMPLE...city has no need for sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp IS THE LAMB," (21:22-23).

"And there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His bond-servants shall serve Him; and they shall see His face," (22:3-4).
